I remember when the first Zona Fresca opened on Federal HWY in FLL.... There was never any parking, huge lines and they served all their dishes with charred green onions.. (I loved) While convalescing in Plantation, we took advantage of having a Zona Fresca right down the road on University. We went twice in a week. Never a crowd. Plenty of parking, heavily staffed and prices have sky rocketed. The quality is still there, salsa bar still amply stocked, but NO charred green onions. Staff was unfamiliar with the charred green onions that came with every plate - in FLL. If I recall, my fish tacos were $3.95 a piece. They tasted the same. Fresh, hot freshly cooked. I have no clue what plates with rice and beans go for - we just ordered the 3 taco plates. I would go here again when in Plantation. I hope they survive. Very few people were having lunch when we were there both times.
I grab takeout at least twice a month for my family and the food is always great, salsa varieties are always fresh, no exceptions. The staff is friendly the kitchen looks clean and I'm so grateful that the menu prices haven't increased much.
Truly delicious Mexican food! Can not complain, whether it's tacos or a burrito or even a bowl this place is good. Super fresh ingredients and the service is on point. Recommend them for catering services! All things come individual with plates and utensils. Definitely a good healthy option.
We were in the area and went back to our fav spot! Most delicious and best grilled chicken salad ..I eat lotsa salads and by far this is a best. Fresh plentiful greens, avocados, fresh off the cob corn, tomatoes with a nice dressing. Best salsas ..it's soo good. We aooo need you in Port St Lucie!!!
I'm a pescatarian so I ordered the shrimp quesadillas which was very delicious!!!! The shrimp and Fish taco meal deluxe combo with extra guacamole. Everything was very delicious especially when you add pico de gallo it tasted very freshly made and delicious. I would definitely recommend and order again!
I finally gave this spot a try for lunch. - So happy I did. ...It's very obviously a locals hot lunch spot: was packed but featured very quick service. - Soda Fountain machine. - Salsa bar. Really great, thoughtfully constructed lunch offerings. - Great music. Not too loud or quiet. ...And the young lady working the counter was very nice to me. Is a really nice spot. Will be a regular haunt.
Best place for great fresh Baja Mexican food. Everything is super fresh, and I love that they have a self-service salsa bar with a great variety. Pickled whole Jalapeños and a tomatillo salsa that I love. I also like the pickled carrots and onions to put into my street tacos. They have plenty of inside seating at hightops and standard tables and a few standard tables outside. The beverages are Pepsi and also self service foe refills. Their prices are great because most items come with fresh chips and rice and beans. They have a few family recipes they serve that you won't find in the chain taco shops that seem to claim they have authentic Mexican fare. Stop in to celebrate Cinco de mayo all year long with festive music and a large healthy menu.

The burritos are in my top three of all mexican restaurants. They are flavorful with a tight rolled tortia. The chips and salsa are a perfect combination with the burrito. Also they have several heat levels of sauces to choose from. Large parking lot. Strong 4.5 rating here. The staff at the front counter are always friendly and i like the open kitchen layout.
I come here about 2-3 times a week on my lunch break for the past 6-7 years excluding Covid. I order either the zone or garden salad both with extra chicken. Usually the order is right, but once in a while the extra chicken isn't there and twice cheese was added. But overall they have a really good success rate with me. Food is always pretty good to me, hot, fresh, and the wait time is low. They give a free bag of freshly made chips, there is a salsa/sauce station that is self service, and they have a rewards program where you get 1 free meal after ordering 10.
